About Us

"A print is only as good as the artwork produced for it, and the separation process is a crucial element in the development of a great print." As someone has rightly said the colour separation process is what you should let the experts do.

Geometric designs, stripes, floral designs, multitonal designs / half tone designs or checks, we work on them all. The fineness of the lines, opacity of the tracings, the look of the design, the repeat, the method of printing, rotary machine printing, flatbed machine printing or hand screens printing, we take into account every small detail.

MicroPix's team uses PC machines to do the colour separations. Specialized software do your designs. The team has experts with technical qualifications in textiles and they make sure that your job is done in the best manner possible.

We can work from your original art, photographs, transparencies or computer files. If you require additional artwork, such as design, typesetting, colour correction, edge treatment or special added colours, we can provide these for you prior to separation. All you have to do is contact us and give us instructions.

Also we can accept the designs on following media: CD, Zip disks or 3.5" floppy disks. We can read most PC files if they are saved in the correct format. We also have a 24 hours Internet connection if you wish to send your files by emails. Also we can send you the completed designs back bu email or couriers.

Following are some instructions if you are sending us the images:

  • While saving your artwork, save it as a 'working file.' Do not 'flatten' files that contain multiple layers. It helps us in the separation process to be able to access individual areas of your artwork thus reducing cost for you.
  • Files with very low resolution can result in a poor quality output. Keep your scans at a minimum of twice your screen ruling (i.e. Your image resolution at full size should be 100 dpi if you want your output to be 50 lpi).
  • Please indicate the final image size that you expect through written instruction.
  • Remember to include the names of all typestyles for the fonts that you have used.
  • Send a hard copy of what you expect your artwork to look like. This can be a simple laser output or a colour proof.
